I was very sad to learn of the death of JG Ballard at the age of 78. He had been ill for several years, struggling with prostate cancer, and died on Sunday morning. I recently listed to a free NME CD. It was called NME Presents Festival. It has some brilliant tracks on it from bands like Archie Bronson Outfit, Kaiser Chiefs, Howling Bells and Klaxons.
