Shoe Disintegration

Why have all my shoes disintegrated at the same time? All my favourite pairs of trainers are rapidly becoming unwearable. Big holes appear on the heel and rips occur in the lining. I have to stuff an old pair of socks in the heel so that my foot is not directly placed on the floor.

It is definitely best when it rains. My broken footwear soaks up any liquid and leaves my feet and socks socking wet for the whole day. I know at some point I will step on some glass and come a cropper.

I know what you are thinking. Why don’t you buy some new shoes Nelson? Well, I am very picky about my trainers and a decent pair is very hard to find. Also, in light of the present credit crunch, money is scarcer than previously.

Still, it doesn’t stop me from buying more high heels, does it? I know what my priorities are. Shoes eh, who needs ‘em?

Why don’t you buy some proper shoes, Nelson, before you become a copper?

That’s the thing. Buy proper shoes and I may as well become a policeman. Shiny shiny shoes of leather.
