Who was that woman? She was middle aged, smartly dressed and kinda sexy in an older woman way. She was stood over the road from my flat and she was taking photos. She had a big telescopic lens camera on a tripod and was snapping away. Not just of anything, oh no. Her camera was angled directly towards my living room window.
Am I being paranoid? Was she just taking pictures of buildings for a new East End set gangster computer game? I think not. Was she an anthropologist mapping the history of the Mile End Road? Doubt it.
This has happened before and occurs on a regular basis. Was she aiming her camera at another flat? No. Every time I was near the window peaking out she became very animated and excited and increased the pace of picture taking. I gave her a few poses but did not go so far as to offer a moony.
I wonder if these pictures are going to appear on the internet somewhere, or even in the newspapers: ‘Nelson Galaxy Lives in Flat Shocker’. But then I did have the lights on full and was gyrating to the new single by Foals, playing air guitar whilst wearing a tight laced corset and thigh high heeled PVC boots. I just do not understand why people stare, I really don’t.

Maybe she was kidnapped by mind aliens and was stuck in a photographic loop. Happens on a regular basis in big cities all over the western hemisphere. Bloke in a pub told me that.
Kidnapped by mind aliens? Is that what’s happening? Explains alot. I’ve half a mind to sort them aliens out once and for all. Actually, I only have half a mind.
