Gig’s Gone

It is with great regret, disappointment and a slight degree of anger that I have to announce that the forthcoming Enormous gig has been postponed. As you know, I was to make a glamorous guest appearance this Saturday, banging a tambourine out of time and squealing like a happy pig . . . in make-up.

In no way are the band to blame, it is the organisers who have postponed this gig until September. Unfortunately, I already have my coach tickets and cannot get a refund. So I have to apologise and say that my posts over the next couple of weeks will be a little erratic, to say the least. I will be partying at chez Napoleon.

That’s if your idea of partying is recording solidly. That’s right, look out for my guest backing vocals on one or more of the Davy Lawrence Big Arena Records‘ podcasts. It’s gonna be flipping amazing and may make your ears bleed with joy.

Here’s what Davy had to say about the whole affair:

“The venue where Enormous were due to give an acoustic performance this Saturday (21st) have cancelled the show – for reasons of national security or something – and rescheduled it for September 6th.

“Sorry if this leaves you feeling as disappointed as it does us (I was even planning on having a bath in readiness for the occasion) but the new date is only a few weeks away. It gives the band time to find a new bass player and pianist at least, and we might even attempt to learn a new chord.

“I hope no one is inconvenienced too much - if you are feeling slightly miffed, leave a comment here with details of your address and Big Arena Records promise to send you a cheque for £10. (Cheques will not be honoured.)”
