The debate rages. As Coldplay release their new album ‘Viva La Vida’ pundits and music lovers around the globe are asking:
“Coldplay…brilliant or bland?”
The answer: Bland…very bland….really really bland….dishwater bland.
Alan McGee, the former head man of Creation Records, once described the band as ‘beans on toast music’. Rather apt, I think.
Oh, definitely bland.

Brilliantly bland.
I preferred Coldplay when they were Genesis, and I hated them then. Especially after Peter Gabriel left. And I hated him, too.
I guess Genesis and Coldplay are very similar. And that singer in Coldplay has a bit of the Phil Collins about him. No jacket required and that.
