Last night marked the prestigious occasion that was the Glamour Magazine Awards 2008. Attendees included most of the Spice Girls, Lily Allen (who stole the limelight by virtue of having pink hair – now that’s talent), Kate Beckinsale (mmmm) and Dannii Minogue.
The winners were; Best Presenter for Fearne Cotton, Editor’s Special Award to Lily Allen and Best Film Actress Award to Kate Beckinsale. Beth Ditto won the Best International Musician award, Best UK TV Actress was Keeley Hawes (she wants me), Jonathan Ross’ wife, Jane Goldman, won Film-maker of the Year award and TV Personality of the Year was picked up by Dannii Minogue.
Also, Heroes’ Hayden Panettiere was named Glamour Newcomer of the Year, Mark Ronson Man of the Year and Annie Lennox won the award for Inspiration.
Now, what I don’t understand is where my invite was? Did it get lost in the post? Did someone make a typing-based misdemeanour and send it to a certain Mr Garazy? Surely Nelson Galaxy and the Donovans of Trash were up for Glamour Best Band of the Year. The Spice Girls may have won the award but I bet we were a close second. I am certainly glamorous enough.
I will forgive the magazine for their oversight this year and will not take legal action. Next year I demand recognition. You have been warned.

I’ve been using moisturiser since I was a very young boy. Not necessarily always on my face.
