I implore you to visit the Big Arena Records website and listen to some of the amazing, nay, astounding, podcasts by one Davy ‘Jet Plane’ Lawrence, aka Napoleon Fantastic. Your ears will weep with joy and you may have yourself a little sex wee.

Davy will be posting the ‘casts on a weekly basis, leading up to the launch of Big Arena Records. He is giving you the pleasure of hearing acoustically performed tracks from the forthcoming Enormous album ‘Electric Baby Grand’. Get on down there and enjoy baby ‘cos this guy’s sure got talent.

The fourth song to be posted is the excellent ‘Sharon You’re a S**t’. This is one of my personal favourites by Davy Lawrence; it’s a punky poppy classic. When performed live I used to jump up and down, arms flailing wildly whilst crashing into various roadies and band members’ brothers. This activity was called moshing and it was all the rage.

However, when this song was first performed by the Enormous boys it caused a little consternation and confrontation. My girlfriend at the time went by the name of Sharon, she probably still does. (“What you had a girlfriend?” Relationships Ed).

Understandably she believed the song to be about her. At the time the relationship between Sharon, Davy and myself was rather volatile and this presented an ideal situation for paranoia, accusation and disdain; all my favourites.

So if you are reading this Sharon, I can promise you that the song is not in any way directed towards you. This has been confirmed by Davy on numerous occasions. Although, I would like to know where his original influence came from.
