When will this cold period end? It has gone on for too long now. It feels like winter or summat.
I’m looking forward to balmy sunny days and an end to chapped skin and shivering muscles. I do not have much flesh on me so I become cold rather quickly, and brittle. I have to wear three pairs of socks, two pairs of tights (one over my face), four shirts (I am literally too cool for jumpers), hat, scarf and gloves. And that is just in my flat. . . in bed.
Switching on the heating is unheard of. What little heat is generated will immediately be lost through the cracks in the windows and doors. Waste of money. Another layer of clothes for me, so what if my nose is blue.
You know what they say? Cold hands, cold heart, cold bits.

You’d never make a polar explorer, Nel. Not with all that weather and everything - not to mention the lack of Boots No.7 outlets.
You wouldn’t get me wearing a jumper - even in the arctic. I bet there is a Boots there though, and a Starbucks, and a Watersons, and a WH Smith.
