Alarming

WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH

That was the sound that dominated my night. Oh yeah. At one a.m., as I was about to put down my novel and have some welcome wonderful sleep, the loud klaxon alarm noise started. It lasted until seven this morning. It was very loud. It was constant. I have had absolutely no sleep. I feel rubbish.

WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH

I hunted for my ear plugs, I could not find them. I tried listening to my mp3 player, the alarm was louder. Pillows over my face were just not good enough. I tried watching a film, I could not hear it. When my real alarm clock sprang to life I did not realise, it was drowned out by the sound coming from outside.

WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH

If you are reading this and you own a mobile phone shop on the Mile End Road in Stepney, your days are numbered pal. How can a loud shop alarm be allowed to bellow all night long? Shouldn’t the police turn up or something? Jeez. The only thought that got me through the night was to imagine visiting the shop with a large sawn-off shotgun and blowing the melon farmers to hell.

WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH

It gets in your head you know. Makes you go a bit strange.

WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH
WEEEE OOOOOHHH

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[…] I do I tend to immediately forget them. Nowadays, I do not have time to start dreaming with all the alarms and sirens going off outside. My dream was in the style of the film […]
