During periods of high anxiety I find that I often participate in odd unconscious nighttime activities. My new one appears to be sleep scratching. This is not in a DJ sense. I awoke this morning with nasty seeping scratches and gnashes all over my hands, arms, chest and legs. During the midnight hours I must have been overcome by the urge to lacerate my tender skin.
I can understand the scratching of legs and chest, they have not been shaved since the weekend and I have tiny itchy stubble growth, but why the hands? Maybe I spent the whole evening trying to remove the dark indelible stain of self-loathing from my instruments of destruction. Or I may have just had an itch.
Added to my burns, bruisers and blisters I’m beginning to resemble a war veteran. I bet I appear more traumatised by a war zone than Prince Harry.
Other anxiety induced bizarre sleeping disorders that I have experienced include screaming, walking into walls, tossing and turning, punching, being burnt, laughing hysterically, stabbing a pillow and turning into a wolf.

Don’t forget the thing with the Farleys’ Rusks and the sombrero.
Oh no, I really had forgotten, thanks for reminding me.
Maybe you should go to bed with socks on your hands, or get |Napoleon to knit you some enormous scratch mitts??
The Enormous scratch mitts. What a brilliant marketing product. Any other Enormous-based merchandise?
