The Straightening

Well, my fears and worries about the events of Friday proved to be totally unfounded. I had one of the best days of my life. It was so much fun, it was brilliant. I am not yet going to tell you what I did, you can keep guessing, but it was fairly momentous (for me anyway). My work colleagues are sure that I attended a job interview, how very wrong they are.

My cold kept at bay so I was in good health, no snotty nose action. My massive hot water bottle induced blister caused a number of footwear issues, but I managed. It didn’t pop.

To give you a taster of what occurred I will tell you that I had my hair straightened (“What were you doing Nel? Hairdresser?”) Oh no, something else entirely. I have never had my hair straightened and was a little worried that I would look like a right plonker but I looked brilliant and very cool. I couldn’t wait for my friends to see it and have them ask me if I’ve been to the barbers. I looked outstanding.

However, I took a bath on Saturday and when my hair dried it was the same as always, curly, frizzy and unshapely. I now need to buy me some hair strengtheners. Knowing me though, I will probably set my hair on fire.

Straight hair, it’s all the rage you know.

Nel, you have to buy ghds. They cost a bit, but that’s cos’ they’re the best. From one curly haired chick to another, no others will do the trick. OK?
