I’m going to cheat now and quote Napoleon’s brilliant blog - I am a bit drunk though xx:
“I have just uploaded a few rough mixes of some of the new songs then Nelson and I have been working on. Go to the Nelson Galaxy myspace site and have a listen.
“I hope you like what you hear – you’ll be the first in the world to witness the thrilling power and passion that is the new Nelson Galaxy and The Donovans Of Trash material.
“Although the tracks are only very rough monitor mixes, I’m sure you can tell that when it is finished in a couple of months (hopefully), the album - provisionally titled Idiot Fever - is going to be a stunning collection; Nelson’s finest hour, in fact.
“The Donovans of Trash, Nelson’s backing band, are me, Napoleon Fantastic, on guitars and bass (for live work, Tony B. Toogood is the Donovans’ usual bass player but as he was unavailable for these sessions, I took over. I have really been enjoying it, actually, pumping out some funky bass riffs, man) and backing vocals, and Graham Boffey on drums and percussion.
“I am thrilled to be playing lead guitar on Nelson’s songs. It is something that I don’t get to do too often in Enormous as Ash or Paul from the brass section usually take the solos. I am especially proud of my solo in Making an Effort – a ‘Davy Lawrence special’ if ever there was one.
“And one cannot fail to be impressed with Nelson’s singing. Even though he keeps complaining to me that he is out of practice, I don’t think I have ever heard him in finer voice.
“The three songs are: Get Up, Making an Effort, and You Little Animal.
“(I intend to put some rough mixes of some of the new ENORMOUS stuff up somewhere shortly. All the tracks are only at the demo stage at the moment but as soon as I have progressed a little further with them – there are about 40 or so – I shall of course let you know.)”

Nel, the songs sound fantastic. All Jake Burnsy.
And I love Family Business. It is a beautiful song.
Oh, and Mr B was very impressed with the drummer. Very talented.
Thanks so much Jo. Let’s not forget that Family Business is a Davy Lawrence composition. Again I’d like to thank Mr B and Napoleon for all their hard work.
I, too, think you sound like Jake Burnsy. Jake Burnsy in a dress. Who’s Jake Burnsy?
You supported his band many moons ago at the Astoria.
Stiff Little Fingers?
That’s the fella.
