Wow, what an appalling day at work. One of the worst I can remember. I’ve made a big decision. I’m gonna hand in my notice and leave. I really have had enough; I’m taken for granted, overworked and paid a pittance. I find it despicable to have to apologise to clients for having a few days off. This is bad business acumen. To have no one doing my work while I’m not there has major client impact.
Sod ‘em. I’ve had enough. They can all sit there looking at Facebook and various shoes while I’m over a week behind. I’m better than all of ‘em. I’ve decided I’m moving to Cornwall with Napoleon. We are going to set up a recording studio in an old fishing cottage at St. Ives. This has to happen soon because Nelson is about to exit the basement (yeah, I work in a basement).
So come everyone to our brilliant, all mod cons recording paradise, overlooking Porthmeor Beach. We’ll crack open a cold bottle of beer and watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean before going for a drink in the Sloop Inn.
I have a sneaky feeling that come Monday morning I’ll be sat at work with a face like a slapped arse working non-stop for eight and a half hours. Bugger!!!
On the Nelson hi-fi today:
