All Apologies

I have to say that I’m really sorry for my recent bizarre and erratic behaviour. I’ve just had a rather indulgent weekend. Seeing as it was my birthday I took three days off work and went a little crazy. I didn’t leave my flat after I stumbled in on Friday night until Thursday morning when I left for work. I spent the majority of that time rather drunk.

I could easily become a hermit, I don’t like the outside and I don’t like people. It is my considered opinion that 99.9% of humanity is both ignorant and selfish. Also, when it comes to booze I can’t help myself. I’m sure Napoleon can understand this, you wake up with a hangover and there is only one cure - drink more.

What was to be a very constructive few days; working on new songs, reading a few books, getting some good films watched, turned into a drunken haze. I don’t really remember much between going out for a birthday drink on Friday and getting up to go to work this morning. Napoleon, we CANNOT repeat this when I come and visit, it is so destructive.

The best thing was getting into work this morning, feeling rather groggy and confused, to discover none of my work had been done. There is now a six day backlog. Thanks guys. I can go back to feeling really miserable again.

What would I rather be? Drunk or depressed. I think I’ll opt for drunk.

Hmmm. I’d go for drunk too. Can’t believe they just let your work pile up Nel. What gits.

Sorry to be a wet blanket but more drunk = more depressed. Try it - you’ll see . . .

I’m having one night off the booze, but you can bet that this time tomorrow night I’ll be shouting drunkenly to myself again.
