What a Smashing Pumpkin

It’s Halloween.

It seems to have totally passed me by. Is this an age thing? Jo, I bet your young uns are going crazy for that sweet candy. Is it a London thing? Everyone is far too cool to bother having a good time. I know Napoleon is having a hard time in his small village, with the frightening trick or treaters he’s had round his end. As for me, I didn’t realise it was Halloween until a couple of days ago.

It’s a shame really because it’s the only time of the year when one can get away with fancy dress and there are no questions asked. This is why it’s become a big event in the tranny calendar. I could dress up in my best rock chick gear and totter into the nearest hostelry in 6-inch heels and say, “I’m not a tranny, it’s fancy dress, innit.” All of my tranny friends seem to have had great fun already – looking at the photos they’ve posted.

I guess it’ll be another night at home alone with a hollowed out pumpkin on my head. Oh well.

Miss E went to a Halloween party, but M is kind of a bit young. She thinks Witches are scary. I do have sweets ready to throw at passing small people though, but that’s only cos I don’t want them to egg my house.
